Dear James,

decisions on further AIW locations have to be made by the general assembly during the Business Meeting, not in the Committee Meeting. The Committee Meeting should be held in advance of the Business Meeting and can be outside of the main conference time.

The AIW Business Meeting instead is part of the AIW and should be held during conference time, so that all participants to the AIW have a chance to attend and take part in the discussion and voting process. You should plan in at least 1 hour for the Business Meeting.

Best

Renate

No problem, I’ll build in the time. Since all committee members are based in Europe, this meeting can be held outside the main conference time during the morning or early afternoon.

Subject: [Committee] Candidates for AIW 2023

Dear all,

I want to tell you that two candidates for organizing the AIW 2023 have contacted me during the last days:

  1. Judit Kadar from the Testnevelési Egyetem/University of Physical Education, who wants to organize it in Budapest/Hungary together with the Károli University and probably Eötvös-Loránd (ELTE) University there.

  1. Mathilde Roza from Radboud University Nijmegen/Netherlands. She already has a suggestion for a topic: "Indigenous perspectives on Europe and Europeans."

We will have to discuss this, as well as the suggestion of Livia Savelkova for the AIW 2024 in Pardubice/Czech Republic, during the Business Meeting 2021. James, you should plan enough time for the Business Meeting to be able to discuss all these suggestions and for the voting. Moreover we have to discuss how to organize the online voting proceedure.

Best regards

Renate
