Hi fellow DANE enthusiasts,
So last week Microsoft released some DANE documentation:

However it looks like Microsoft has put an E5 license requirement over the use of it once it's outside of Public Preview. Does anyone here know why they've come up with this requirement, which has a significant extra cost compared to an E3 or even an E1?
I for one am having trouble parsing the "Tip" about "Purview" and "E5" as implying E5 as a hard requirement for inbound DANE.
If you're not an E5 customer, use the 90-day Microsoft Purview solutions trial to explore how additional Purview capabilities can help your organization manage data security and compliance needs. Start now at the Microsoft Purview compliance portal trials hub. Learn details about signing up and trial terms.
Perhaps someone can explain that rather terse note to the uninitiated?
The main thing I see is:
How can Exchange Online customers use SMTP DANE inbound?
Currently, inbound SMTP DANE isn't supported for Exchange Online. Support for inbound SMTP DANE will be available in the near future.
Which seems to leave the details to the future...
I am also amused by the example TLSA record:
_26._tcp.mx.contoso.com. IN TLSA 3 1 ` abc123...xyz789
